Terms of service

Last updated: 22 April 2026

Note: the legally binding version is the Danish one at statsly.app/betingelser. This English version is provided for convenience.

1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of Statsly (the "service"), operated by Jakob Krogh, freelance developer, Aalborg, Denmark ("we", "us", "Statsly"). By creating an account or using the service, you accept these terms.

2. The service

Statsly is a hosted, privacy-friendly web analytics service built on the open source project Umami. You install a small JavaScript snippet on your website and we show you visitor stats in a dashboard and optionally in our mobile app and WordPress plugin.

3. Account and access

  • You create an account with a valid email address and confirm via email link.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password safe. Do not share it.
  • You are liable for all use of your account unless you have notified us of unauthorized access.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts used in breach of these terms.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the service to track personal data such as names, emails, passwords, health data or other sensitive information via custom events or URL parameters;
  • send tracking script from sites you do not own or are not authorized to analyze;
  • attempt to circumvent limits, reverse engineer, or attack the service;
  • use the service for illegal or harmful content.

Violation may result in immediate termination without refund.

5. Pricing and payment

  • Start (free): 1 website, unlimited pageviews, 12 months of history.
  • Business (99 DKK/mo): unlimited websites, unlimited pageviews and history, white label on your own domain.
  • Business is billed monthly in advance. There is no commitment period — you can cancel any time with effect from the next billing period.
  • Invoices are issued by Factofly ApS (CVR 39781689) on behalf of Statsly. Payment is made directly to Factofly, who handles VAT and bookkeeping.
  • Prices may change with 30 days' notice. Price changes do not affect the current billing period.

6. Data ownership and export

You own the data you send through Statsly. You can export your visitor data any time via the dashboard or Umami's API. On termination, you have 30 days to export data, after which it is permanently deleted.

7. Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee it on the free plan. We may perform scheduled maintenance with reasonable notice. Business customers have a 99.9% uptime target on dashboard and tracking endpoint; in case of substantial downtime, proportional refund may be granted on a case-by-case basis.

8. Limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is". We are not liable for indirect losses including lost revenue, lost data or operational disruption. Our total liability shall in no case exceed the amount you have paid for the service in the last 12 months. The limitation does not apply in case of intent or gross negligence.

9. Termination

You may terminate your account any time via settings or by contacting us. We may terminate your account with 30 days' notice without cause, or immediately in case of material breach of these terms.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced by email and on this page at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law and venue

Danish law applies. Disputes are settled at the court in Aalborg, Denmark, as the first instance. Consumers may always bring cases under mandatory consumer-protection rules.

12. Contact
